Pre-enroll for high school credit classes for the academic year 2026-2027

See more information about the high school credit classes before pre-enrolling, and be sure to follow the instructions on that page to notify your high school counselor so credits are properly recognized.

Academic Year 2026-2027 Schedule: Fixed-schedule credit classes start August 26 and 27. Almost all class sections are finalized and confirmed. Late pre-enrollment is open through August 25, 2026. Read the schedule announcement.

We have openings in every program and age group. Please pre-enroll by August 25, 2026 to secure a spot. No payment is required at the time of pre-enrollment. We will email you a confirmation with all class details after pre-enrollment closes.

To finalize your enrollment, you must pay the invoice attached to the confirmation email within 1 week after receiving the payment email. Pre-enrollment is not binding until payment is received.

Tuition for high school credit classes

The high school credit classes follow an extensive curriculum approved by the school districts and require significantly more effort from both teachers and students than the other classes. Districts require students to complete 140 hours of language education per year, with 2 hours in class and 2 hours of independent study each week. This means a higher workload for students, as well as for teachers, who must prepare and grade additional homework.

The tuition reflects the increased teacher workload and the reporting requirements for high school credit.

The total yearly tuition covers 33 weekly classes plus 2 Italian-related events (2 hours each, totaling 70 hours of instruction), along with 2 hours of weekly independent study:

$2,549 (new students)

$2,422 (discount for returning students enrolled in 2025-2026)

Legacy students who have been enrolled in Italian School for 4 years receive an additional discount:

$2,180

We recommend paying via Zelle to avoid credit card fees.

Materials Fee

There is an additional $150 materials fee for all in-person classes. This helps cover classroom supplies, photocopies, internet, utilities, and the cost of maintaining our school space. Books are not included in this fee. The fee does not apply to online classes.

Curriculum Alignment Fee

Students normally begin with Italian as a New Language 1-2 (INL 1-2) or Italian for Italian Speakers 1-2 (ITA 1-2). Students with prior Italian study or strong Italian fluency may request a free placement evaluation for direct enrollment into a higher level. Because direct-entry students often need curriculum alignment support for prerequisite material not completed with our program, students who enroll directly into higher levels pay a one-time curriculum alignment fee:

See the dedicated page for details on payment methods, cancellation policy, the 8-payment option, and sibling discount.

The pre-enrollment form is the same for TK–6th grade students and for the high school credit classes.
