Private Italian Lessons in San Diego

Whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to polish your conversational skills, private lessons offer the fastest, most personalized path to fluency. Work one-on-one with a dedicated instructor who adapts every session to your goals, pace, and interests.

Why Choose Private Lessons?

• All levels welcome — new beginner, intermediate, or advanced. We meet you where you are.
• Flexible scheduling — choose the day and time that works best for you, and reschedule when life gets in the way. Daytime slots are available, which suits homeschool families.
• In-person or online — meet your teacher at either of our two locations (4550 Kearny Villa Rd Suite 202 in Kearny Mesa, or San Dieguito United Methodist Church in Encinitas), at your home, or connect from anywhere via Zoom.
• Custom content — preparing for a trip to Italy, studying for a certification, reconnecting with family heritage, or just learning for fun? We build the curriculum around you.
• Native Italian instructors — every teacher on our staff is a native Italian speaker with hands-on experience teaching adults at all proficiency levels.

How It Works

1. Fill out the interest form — tell us about your goals, current level, and scheduling preferences.
2. We match you with a teacher — based on your needs and availability, we pair you with the right instructor.
3. Start learning — begin with a lesson plan designed just for you. Adjust the pace, topics, and focus at any time.

For private lessons with children, employees assigned to teach or supervise minors follow our background check policy. The clearance used for an ordinary privately paid lesson can differ from the additional process required when the lesson is funded through a charter school or another educational agency.

Charter school families

Private lessons are on our approved list of services for both Pacific Coast Academy and SoCal Scholars Academy, for TK through 12th grade, so charter funds can cover them: online, at either of our locations, or at your own home.

Fill out the interest form, name your charter, and then submit an order through your charter’s catalog. If your child attends a different charter, contact us and we can apply to become vendors.

Scheduling & Cancellation Policy

We know schedules change. Our private lesson policy is designed to be fair and flexible:

• Reschedule anytime — just let your teacher know in advance and pick a new time.
• 24-hour cancellation policy — cancel or reschedule with at least 24 hours’ notice at no charge. Late cancellations or no-shows will be counted as a completed lesson.

Italian On Demand (Maximum Flexibility)

If you prefer to book lessons one at a time without a recurring schedule, try Italian On Demand. You can book a private one-hour lesson online via Zoom with as little as 12 hours’ notice.

• 1 hour
