In-Person Spanish Class for Kids (3rd Year Students) 2026-2027

In-person Spanish class for 3rd year elementary students on Wednesday afternoons in Kearny Mesa for the 2026-2027 school year, taught by a native instructor using Lola y Leo 3.

The Italian School of San Diego is pleased to confirm the continuation of our children’s Spanish language program for the 2026-2027 academic year!

This in-person course is designed specifically for 3rd year students (elementary school students who have completed approximately two years of beginner Spanish instruction, or continuing learners with comparable foundational skills). Meeting in a focused, small-group setting, children will continue advancing their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills through structured lessons, creative activities, cultural stories, and games.

Schedule

• Day and time: Wednesdays, 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM (1.5 hours per class)
• First lesson: Wednesday, September 23, 2026
• Last lesson: Wednesday, May 19, 2027
• Total instruction: 29 weeks (43.5 total classroom hours)

• November 11, 2026 (Veterans Day)
• November 25, 2026 (Thanksgiving Break)
• December 23, 2026 (Winter Break)
• December 30, 2026 (Winter Break)
• January 6, 2027 (Epifania Break)

Instructor & Curriculum

Instruction is led by our new Spanish instructor, Edith. Edith is a native Spanish speaker holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Language Teaching, a Master’s Degree in Modern Languages, and Cambridge English TKT certification. She brings extensive experience teaching children in elementary and middle school settings as well as adult learners.

Textbook

The class will use the Lola y Leo 3 series (Libro del alumno and Cuaderno de ejercicios, published by Difusión). Books will be available for pickup directly at our school or can be purchased online.

Tuition & Fees

• Tuition (29 weeks / 43.5 hours): $1,228.00
• Annual materials fee: $150.00 (covers art supplies, photocopies, utilities, and classroom space maintenance)
• Italian program discount: Students who are also enrolled in our Italian kids classes receive a 10% discount on Spanish tuition ($982.48 tuition + $150.00 materials).

Payment is accepted via Zelle (to pay@italianschoolsd.com), check, or credit card via Stripe (3.6% processing fee applies).
