Tuition payment rules

Tuition payment is due in 1 payment by the deadline listed on the enrollment page, unless you opt for the monthly plan.

Late enrollments

Tuition is prorated for the remaining classes at the regular rate. A one-time $200 late enrollment fee per student applies to enrollments after October 1, 2026.

The late enrollment fee covers the additional work of adding a student to an existing class.

Kids and teen enrollment requests are accepted all year, pending availability. Please contact us first to check availability and ensure the class fits your child’s age and level.

Prorated tuition = regular annual tuition ÷ scheduled classes for the full year × remaining classes. Use the applicable rate on the kids enrollment page or high school credit enrollment page. There is no percentage increase for late enrollment. The late enrollment fee, applicable materials fees and applicable curriculum alignment fees are listed separately on your invoice.

We will confirm placement and send an invoice with the exact prorated amount. Payment is due within one week of receiving the confirmation email. If you request a monthly payment plan, the 20% administrative fee applies; we will confirm the installment amounts and due dates before you commit. The standard eight-payment schedule below describes enrollment before the October-to-April installments begin.

Payment methods

The preferred payment method is Zelle (free and supported by most US banks). We also accept checks and credit cards.

• Please make checks payable to Italian school of San Diego LLC (do not forget “LLC”).
• Payments via credit cards incur a 3.6% payment processing fee.

Payment plans and discounts

8-payment plan

The 8-payment plan allows you to pay in multiple installments while still committing for the full year.

• Fee: Includes an additional administrative fee of 20%.
• Schedule: 1/8 of tuition is due immediately to confirm enrollment. The remaining 7 monthly payments are due October 1st to April 1st. (Checks are not accepted for monthly payments).
• Late enrollment: Contact us to confirm the applicable installment schedule. Do not use the standard dates above for a new enrollment after monthly installments have begun.
• Late Fees: If a monthly payment is more than 2 weeks late, a $50 late fee applies. This increases to $100 for invoices unpaid for over 1 month. Please enable autopay via Wave or scheduled Zelle payments to avoid fees.

Sibling discount

The first additional family member enrolled receives a 10% discount, the second a 15% discount, and so on (discounts are cumulative). For families with kids in both the high school credit classes and the other classes, the higher discount applies to the lower tuition.

Pickup times and late pickup

Children are expected to be picked up promptly at the scheduled end of class. A 10-minute grace period is free, after which a late pickup fee applies, and families who need a later pickup can request pre-arranged extended care at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellation policies

Refund requests must be sent via email to admin@italianschoolsd.com.

Full-payment option

• 100% Refund: If cancellation is received 3 weeks before school starts.
• 50% Refund: If cancellation is received before the 3rd class.
• No Refunds: After the 3rd class.

Monthly plan option

• 100% Refund: If cancellation is received 3 weeks before school starts.
• Standard Cancellation: Requires a 30-day advance notice via email. A $50 administrative fee will be added to the account.
• No Cancellations: Accepted after March 31st.
